Is whole wheat harder to digest?

Whole Wheat Is More Than Just Starch
One of the biggest differences between whole wheat and refined flour is that whole wheat contains the entire grain.
That means it includes:
- Bran
- Germ
- Endosperm
In refined flour, much of the bran and germ have been removed during processing. What remains is primarily the starchy endosperm.
Because whole wheat still contains all three parts of the grain, your body is processing a more complete food rather than mostly starch.
