Ingredients

- 3 lbs beef
- 3 onions, diced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- ¾ cup water
- 45 ounces tomato sauce
- 22 ounces diced tomatoes
- 4.5 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespooon salt
- 2 teaspoons pepper
- optional:
- 1.6 ounce green chilies, drained
- 15 ounces beans, drained and washed
Instructions
- Brown the beef.
- Drain the fat and throw away.
- Add the onions and garlic and saute until golden.
- Add beef, onions and garlic into a 4 qt stock pot.
- Add other ingredients and mix to combine.
- Bring to a soft boil.
- Turn the heat down and let simmer for at least an hour before serving. Check often and stir.
