Easy Chili Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs beef
  • 3 onions, diced
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¾ cup water
  • 45 ounces tomato sauce
  • 22 ounces diced tomatoes
  • 4.5 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespooon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • optional:
    • 1.6 ounce green chilies, drained
    • 15 ounces beans, drained and washed


Instructions

  1. Brown the beef.
  2. Drain the fat and throw away.
  3. Add the onions and garlic and saute until golden.
  4. Add beef, onions and garlic into a 4 qt stock pot.
  5. Add other ingredients and mix to combine.
  6. Bring to a soft boil.
  7. Turn the heat down and let simmer for at least an hour before serving. Check often and stir.
